Citrulline is a non-essential amino acid that belongs to one of the dietary amino acids in the Urea Cycle, functioning along with Arginine and Ornithine to rid the body of ammonia(by-product of exercise). All manufacturing processes for the production of amino acids for medical use must comply with current good manufacturing practice requirements.
